| David J. Ament was recently promoted to Partner at Parthenon Capital in Boston. Parthenon Capital is a leading middle-market private equity firm with offices in Boston and San Francisco and $1.1 billion of capital currently under management. Mr. Ament joined Parthenon Capital in 2003 as a Principal and has significant experience in the private equity industry, having worked closely with a number of middle-market companies.
At Parthenon Capital, Mr. Ament is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities as well as working with existing portfolio companies on various strategic and financial initiatives. Mr. Ament’s investment focus is primarily targeted towards Parthenon's activities in business services, including healthcare business services, media and telecom services, financial technology and education.
Prior to joining Parthenon Capital, he was a Principal at Audax Group, a private equity firm focused on growing middle-market companies. Prior to Audax, Mr. Ament was an investment professional at Apollo Advisors, a private equity firm with over $15 billion under management focused on large investment transactions, and a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley & Company in its healthcare services division.
