MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Restaurant Technologies, Inc. (RTI), a leading provider of bulk cooking oil management services to the restaurant industry, today announced that Jeffrey R. Kiesel has joined the company as RTI’s chief executive officer. With over 20 years of senior leadership experience, Mr. Kiesel will lead RTI as the company continues to broaden its markets throughout North America. Founder, Paul Plooster will continue in his role as president.

His management and operational experience has exhibited a proven track record of driving organic growth and profitability for corporations of all sizes across multiple industries,” said Ken Larson, chairman of the board at RTI. “This expertise, coupled with his knowledge of the success factors required to grow RTI’s sales and profitability, make Jeff the right leader to assume the responsibilities of RTI’s CEO. Prior to joining RTI, Kiesel, 44, from 2003 to 2005 was senior vice president of field operations for G&K Services, Inc., a market leader in branded identity apparel and products. Here he was responsible for implementing new business planning and financial review processes, and managing the company’s 8,000 field personnel. Prior to G&K Services, Kiesel served as president and chief executive officer of VIZTA 3D, Inc., an advanced 3D visualization technology company, where he was responsible for securing venture funding for the company’s new technology, recruitment and retention of key technology personnel and execution of the company’s overall business plan. From 1996 to 2001, Kiesel held a variety of senior leadership positions with GE Capital Corporation, including president and chief executive officer of GE Small Business Solutions, president of GE Capital Small Fleet Services and other key leadership positions in sales, marketing and product management.

Mr. Kiesel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University. He currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Omni Cable Corporation, a Pennsylvania-based supplier of cabling supplies to electrical wholesalers.
