Business Insight Radio Interview: Ernest K. Jacquet on Middle Market Companies Turning to Recaps

9/10/2003

BOSTON, MA (BUSINESS WIRE) - In the absence of an active IPO market, middle market companies seeking capital are turning to recapitalizations as a successful alternative. Recapitalization is becoming the preferred means for the owner of a privately held company to attain liquidity or growth capital for expansion or acquisitions.

In a recent interview on the Business Insight radio show, Ernest K. Jacquet, Co-CEO of Parthenon Capital explains how consolidation of investment banks and regulatory measures such as Sarbanes-Oxley has made it more difficult and less desirable to be a public company in today's business environment. Mr. Jacquet also discusses how a company can utilize the benefits of a recapitalization to acquire competitors to increase market share.
